Venue Spotlight: Maui Ku’ia Estate Chocolate, Hawaii
For serious chocolate lovers, this working cacao farm in Lahaina on the island of Maui is a paradise within a paradise. Located in West Maui, the trade winds make for a cool location for chocolate tastings and special events.
Starting with a tour of the farm itself, guests are privy to the innovative farming on island. Experimenting with different varietals, the Maui Ku’ia Estate Chocolate grows on 20 acres in 8,000 trees. A two-story tasting platform looks over the farm and to the ocean, a perfect spot to try these unique chocolate squares with fruit and coffee infusions in both milk and dark chocolate varieties.
The factory itself is solar powered and utilizes a Tesla battery system; it is self-sustaining and off-grid. A second-story event space is open-air and a perfect location for a reception or cocktail party for up to 110. A small tasting room is also on the second floor for an intimate private tasting event. Peppering the factory are wood accents from a mango tree that was cut down on the farm and repurposed for beautiful decor throughout the venue.
On top of this unique experience and location, 100% of the net profits from the farm are donated to benefit local Maui charities. Contact us today to start planning your next event at this unique venue.
