We Are Thankful

Aah November, it’s so nice to welcome you!

November has become synonymous with giving and gratefulness with the Thanksgiving holiday as its cornerstone. Thanksgiving is a time when we gather with family and friends to enjoy each other’s company and give thanks for all the little (and big) things that shaped our past year, while enjoying a yummy spread of deliciousness!

November is also deemed as awareness month for many organizations. And of course, we can’t deny the obvious – November officially kicks off the holiday season!

If you’ve been to any stores lately or been watching the TV, you can’t overlook that overnight it seems the holiday season is in full swing!
At John Tobey Events, we’re grateful for November. We’re grateful to our clients, partners, our friends and family who continue to make our 2020 memorable and special, especially as we navigate this unprecedented time.

So, while November is hot on the heels of Halloween, it’s special in its own right. It is a transition month between fall and winter, with just the right amount of chill in the air, perfect for a cozy beverage in hand as you plan out the rest of the year.

At John Tobey Events, we have some great ideas to help you plan for the holidays.

Peak Beverage

Perfect Beverages to Complement Your Thanksgiving Feast

As with many things this year, Thanksgiving may look a little different for many. Some of you may not be planning on your big traditional turkey-day gathering, but rather opting for a smaller and more intimate affair to give thanks.

Maybe you’ll be celebrating virtually or with just a few friends because you’re not traveling home for the holiday.

If you won’t be celebrating in person, then consider a Peak Beverage wine or whiskey tasting kit for your friends and family to enjoy! Or invite your Thanksgiving guests to a virtual beverage class a few days before the festivities to learn what wines and cocktails pair will well with your Thanksgiving Day menu, including desserts!

Colorado Gives Day

Grateful That Colorado Gives

As November has become synonymous with a time of giving and gratefulness, many organizations deem November as their organization’s awareness month. John Tobey Events is forever grateful to the large percentage of nonprofits we work with and encourage you to mark your calendar on December 8, 2020 for Colorado Gives Day. Colorado Gives is an annual statewide movement that celebrates and supports local Colorado nonprofits in an effort to strengthen our local communities.

It’s a special day when thousands of Coloradans join together to give to an organization that is meaningful to them. The day is intended to celebrate and increase philanthropy for those organizations that need it most.

Giving to Colorado for Colorado is at the heart of December 8 and is one of the nation’s largest one-day giving movements.

In the spirit of thanksgiving, consider donating to an organization that is meaningful to you. While the official day is Dec. 8, 2020, you don’t have to wait! You can schedule your donation in advance, beginning Nov. 1.
